Description:
This is a photo of Dorset towerman Ferg McGuire. The towermen watched for signs of forest fires, so that the fire ranger crews could be sent to extinguish them.
Notes:
Fergus McGuire was our last towerman. The following year 1967 the present day tower was completed, The end of an era of the way our forest were protected, and a new way began.
