The Story:
Russell and Jean Reid in the front yard of their home in Haliburton village, 1943. Reid worked as a carpenter and handyman. Their home is now part of the Haliburton Highlands Museum.

John Russell Reid (1883-1959) and Jean McMullan (1888-1976) were married in 1924 and moved to Haliburton with the onset of the depression of the 1930s. They are shown here posed on the front lawn of their Haliburton home, on Park Street, which widow Jean eventaully sold to the Rotary Club to house Haliburton's first museum.
