This is the General Register for S.S.No. 9 Stanhope for the years 1934 to 1939.
In it is recorded the names of the students, their dates of birth, parents or guardians, records of their promotions, and the dates of leaving the school & their destination.
There are also annual statistical reports, age/grade reports, names and tenures of teaching staff, and the trustees' annual financial statements.
The teacher has filled in the log book on the history of the origin of the school, and the Chairman and Secretary's names for each year are also recorded in the log book.

In this register is a Log Book section in which teacher Barbara J. Cooper has recorded, as required, the origin of S.S. No. 9 Stanhope.

The log book lists the school board members for 1934 to 1939, and finishes with the statement that the "School closed temporarily June the thirtieth 1939"

It never reopened and in 1946, it was sold to Bill Branson, who donated it to the Minden Museum in 1993.
