Title:
1957 Letter from Clayton Hodgson to Norm Wallace
Description:
One of a series of five letters written in 1957 between Norm Wallace and M.P. Clayton Hodgson regarding the need for a mail route from Carnarvon to Hall's Lake.

This April 4, 1957 letter on House of Commons stationery is from Clayton Hodgson to Norman Wallace. The letter informs Mr. Wallace that rural route delivery will be allowed, but that this is against current postal regulations and this action does not constitute a precedent for the future. Clayton then reminds Mr. Wallace of the upcoming election and drops a not-so-subtle hint that he wishes to be re-elected.
