Taylor Home and Post Office at Hindon Hill
Description:
This photograph is said to depict the location of the Taylor's home in Hindon Hill in which was also located the local Post Office. The Taylors lived at Lot 11, Concession A, bordering Brady Lake in Hindon Township. This photo is taken from Brady Lake and shows a log house and farm. Four men are visible on shore along with some canoes. The matted frame has been cut to a smaller size and a hanging loop has been added to the back of the frame.
Notes:
Mrs. C. Taylor was the Postmistress here from the Post Office's inception in 1906 to her death in 1919. This photograph shows the primitive conditions in this small community.
